Equinox Reflections

The Equinoxes are particularly potent times of global unity and change. They are the fulcrum of the year, when things pass through the still-point and shift into a new dynamic. As we emerge into this new season, we have an opportunity to reflect on the season that has passed, and to focus our intentions for the coming months.

The Equinox is a time when light and dark are in balance, yet changing quickly. These pivot points remind us of the impermanence that defines existence.

What are some things that you need to keep in balance?

How can you respond to dynamic change, yet maintain the stillness you need to keep from falling?

These are important times of change and movement. Many migrating species are on the move, following the sun. Leaves are falling from trees in the transition to autumn, or buds and sprouts are emerging in the transition to spring.

What are you grateful for, from the season that we are leaving behind?

What are you ready to harvest now?

What are you ready to leave behind?

What resources can you release, making them available for new growth?

What seeds are you planting for the future?

What is starting to emerge?

What are your visions for a world abiding in agaya and ubuntu?

What are your intentions for moving toward that vision in the coming months?

You may wish to consider these questions further, and write your responses in a journal.

Do you have any questions for the Novasutras community for this Equinox? Any thoughts or wishes, reflections or intentions, you want to share?

Please share them in the comments below. We can support each other, and hold one another accountable for working toward our intentions.

Thank you for joining in our Novasutras Equinox celebration. Thank you for all that you do as an agent for change, ubuntu, and agaya.

  1. I am grateful for the new friends I have made, and the new possibilities that are opening before me. I am ready to harvest the experiences and education I carry and use them to nourish others. I am ready to leave behind the doubts and anxieties that have made me hesitate instead of pushing through to create new paths. I can release my old dreams and goals, to make that energy available for new dreams and goals. I am planting seeds of agaya and ubuntu, to grow the community that will support this transformative work. My vision is an engaged community that can build new systems grounded in ubuntu and agaya as we abandon the failing old systems that have left us on a path to a dangerous future. To move toward that in the coming months, I will do more work that weaves people together, and supports those doing good in the world.?
