Movement Progress: Attracting Ridicule!
Today I can officially note that the Novasutras movement has attracted some outside attention. We appear to have reached at least stage two in the old saying (widely misattributed to Mohandis K. Gandhi):
First they ignore you.
Then they ridicule you.
Then they fight you.
Then you win.
Specifically, at a sandy place where I often draw the Novasutras logo as part of my regular practice, someone decided to not just ignore it (e.g. step through or ride a bike over it), but actively respond to it. I did my best to make a kinder response, in turn.
I assume the commentary happened some time before I got there today, since it rained much of yesterday and last night. I doubt this correspondent recognized it as a symbol of the Novasutras movement, but it undeniably evoked some kind of strong emotional reaction. From the chosen expletive, I suppose it is possible that the reaction was merely amorous in nature 😉 We may never know.
I’ll post comments or postscripts should this dialogue continue in any way.
Have you experienced any negative responses regarding Novasutras? Please share your story in the comments.
Ubuntu and agaya to my sandy correspondent, and to all!
