The Future We Need
The global environmental and social challenges we face today are daunting, and they demand a response at a scale appropriate to the problem. Join us as we build a spiritual movement based in the principles of reverence for the living world, interdependence and loving-kindness: agaya and ubuntu.
This video describes some of the science supporting ubuntu. This is a talk by Tom Chi at TEDxTaipei, who never uses the term ubuntu. Nonetheless, what he describes is the underpinnings of ubuntu in physics, cosmology, chemistry, biology, and neuroscience.
“The aim of this Fast for the Climate is to presence the lived reality of the unseen millions around the world who are living with food insecurity and starvation due to climate instability and the billions who will certainly follow if we do not take radical action to avert the worst effects of climate change.” ~Keith Runyan
Novasutras takes solving the climate crisis very seriously. We have chosen a new webhosting service that is better aligned with our values.
250,000 participants – 30 countries – celebrations – wiki and books – a world of agaya and ubuntu
Novasutras participates in the gift economy, freely offering events and content. You can join this gift economy by sharing money or time with us. Help us thrive by telling your friends about Novasutras and our events – reach out and have a good conversation with someone you love, to reconnect and share agaya and ubuntu.
Novasutras events continue, through meditations on Insight Timer and Deep Transformation Network, and Climate Cafés with The Resilient Activist. Discussion spaces are still available on DTN and Insight Timer. And sacred activism is ongoing.
