REMINDER: Feb 3rd Cross-Quarter Meditation & Livestream Video

Don’t forget – you are invited to join us in celebration of the midpoint between the December solstice and the March equinox. The astronomical cross-quarter moment is at 21:12 UTC / 13:12 PST on 3 Feb 2018.

Join us on our YouTube Livestream on 3 Feb 2018 at 1:00 pm PST (21:00 UTC) to celebrate the astronomical ‘cross-quarter’ as a global event. The livestream event  on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf-J-mAsKEo will feature a guided meditation, and a brief conversation about the Novasutras movement (agaya & ubuntu, our plans, values, and ambitions, and how you can participate). If you cannot watch the livestream, you can still participate by meditating for peace, loving-kindness, agaya and ubuntu, on your own through 21:12 UTC / 13:12 PST.

At 21:12 UTC on February 3, 2018, the sun will be directly overhead at Latitude: 16° 20′ South, Longitude: 134° 32′ West. This is in the South Pacific, east of Tahiti, west of Lima, Peru. At that time, you are invited to face toward the sun, and meditate on agaya and ubuntu, so that people all around the world will focus their attention and wishes for global loving-kindness at the same time.

In the northern hemisphere this is the Winter-Spring Cross Quarter usually celebrated in the first few days of February. Do you have anything special that you are doing for Imbolc, Risshun setsubun, Groundhog Day, Candlemas, or another festival associated with this time of year?
